Charleston Trip
We did it! We actually went on a trip with no kids and no RV! We of course took the long route. We started in Macon went to my dad's shop in Gray and then drove to milledgeville, Augusta, Statesboro and then Charleston. Not sure how that happened but it did! Ha ha another famous long cut! We had a great time, the in we stayed at was the Eliot House and it was super cool. Breakfast delivered to the room, wine in cheese in the court yard in the afternoon and free bike use. We went to see Wilco in North Charleston on Thursday night it was Awesome nice pplace and a cool Band Bon Iver opened for them. Then all day Friday we rode all over Charleston with our bikes we went to the market and Fleets Landing for lunch. That is Brad with his beloved 'Room-a-Rang' he found at the market and me with my beloved bloody mary trying to fight off the after affects of the concert. We had a great time on the bikes and got to see a lot more of Charleston in a short time than we would have on foot. The next morning we packed and set off for one last jaunt to the farmers market where we bought shrimp some cool blue potatoes and the best corn we've had all summer. We bought a couple things for the grand parents who were back in Macon spoiling our kids rotten and a crepe to go that was the bomb! It was an awesome trip, gotta get home to the kids though!

Wiley's Birthday - Better late than never!
Well we finally had my sweet baby's first birthday! So much fun at Aunt T and uncle Tommys house! We had tons of crunchy Taquitos and tostadas with Tinga thanks to help from Ignacia! Everything was delicious and then of course Bubby came through with the cutest teddy bear cake ever and tons of extra cupcakes. No one wanted to share those and I am pretty sure they were stashing them all about trying not to let anyone get a hand on them. Delicious, they were worth the calories even with the crumbs falling all over our swim suits! Wiley got his first coyote (it was inevitable) and he LOVED it! Ha wouldn't you know it! All the kids had fun and at the end of the party "Munner" spun Clara out on the 4-wheeler - Look out!
Happy Birthday Wiley Waffles!

Some of my old and or funky junk. Old funky tub fills from bottom. Very excellent Schiltz tray everything in this picture says yardsale. A small part of my blue glass collection (broken pieces are accepted blue is the only rule.) I got into a fight with some decorators at a swap meat over my weiner dog decanter. And Clara's 2 year old portrait, funky with a junky edge.
The Garden - flowers, herbs, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, squash - much better than last years giantly pregnant effort. My squash is a little lazy though! cucumbers are so sneaky I can only find them when they are way too big or way too small. Ignacia pictured above with Wiley showed mme how to tell when a Jalepeno is ready - it has to have tiny white cracks in the skin. Great tip!

swimming hole
The Smiths are going places...we now have a pool in our backyard. Clara is all floatied out. It's not technically a salt water pool...and it also doubles as a summer time bath tub! If any one is wondering what ever happened to baby jane i think we have found her. Thanks for the makeup kit Miss Mary and Aunt Tooty! I think you can tell what Wiley taters is thinking about that look.

Tybee June Trip
Well true to form I have not posted since the last trip to Tybee. Does Wiley's tongue remind y'all of somebody??? Clara is in true sassy beach form. We had so much fun we went with the Lancasters and the (other) Churchwells. We of course were only permitted to sleep in our RV in our usual spot next to the 'main house'. When will The Cables provide RV electrical and water hookup and possibly a dump site? Some people are so behind the times. We had a lot of fun but when kids out number the adults it is very difficult to relax. I still brought my InTouch weekly and my book to the beach (never give up hope!). We mainly ate gritty sandy PB&J's and gold fish. Brad accidentally ate all of Payton's kids sandwiches one day. We rode our bikes to and fro toting bikes and surf boards and other ridiculous items. Forgetting things like sunscreen and towels but thanks goodness we've remebered the 90 lb. bocce ball set. We have such a good time at Tybee the people watching is always phenominal. Thanks to Payton and Jason for letting us come and I have to give big props to Ma Lancaster who is preggars with number 4 and out worked everyone there without a second thought. Patience is definitely your virtue! Am I writing an acceptance speech? Did I win an award? Yes my award will be the Captain Raisin Award!!! Fighting for raisins to be in almost any dish available!! We drove back towards Macon Monday and stayed at The Little Olcmulgee State Park. It was a great RV site very clean Cable hooks up and everything. The lodge was nice too. They had a clean pool and a cool area for kids called Splash that had sprinklers that shot all over the place out of giant flowers and holes in the ground and little guns to Clara loved it! Next trips to report on will be Brad and me going to see Wilco in Charleston early August and then in late August a trip with ladies from the Office (Snuggle town in full effect, Yeayer!!) This week Club Campbell will be open. Will try to post about the 4th of July camp out in Bolingbroke! Later Nerds...
